Corporate Controller for Developer/Home Builder

Marc Rutenberg Homes, a long established Pinellas County Developer of prestigious communities, and Builder of upscale custom homes, is seeking a qualified Controller to manage the day-to-day financial and accounting requirements of our companies.

The position requires both academic achievement and qualified experience in the land development and housing industry. This is a very hands on position, interactive with our Project Managers, and with direct management responsibilities of all business financial activities and reporting.
 
  • QuickBooks Online and Desktop expertise
  • Construction software expertise
  • IT expertise
  • Monthly financial statement preparation supported by in-depth financial management reporting
  • Cash flow forecasting: monthly and annual
  • Annual Business Plan preparation
  • Statement of Account management
  • Job cost accuracy, budget compliance and margin analysis
  • Construction draws and Loan Portfolio management
  • Vender Contract compliance oversight
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable oversight

Academic requirements include a minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting and or finance degree.  Experience requirement includes a minimum 4 years in the housing/building industry, or similar industry exposure applicable to our industry.
